I Miss You Daddy

Dear Daddy,

I enjoyed the time that we shared together. You gave me so many things for which to be thankful, but your unconditional love is what I am most thankful for. Without it, I would not be the woman that I am today.

I am proud to be your daughter and I can’t wait to see you again.

Love,

J

As you know, our father recently passed away and this blog is dedicated to him. Today I miss him more than usual, if that is humanely possible.

He was a simple man so when asked what he wanted for Father's Day he would ALWAYS say nothing, he has everything he needs. So, we always just took him to lunch. I still remember what he wore last year. When he walked into the restaurant he looked so handsome that I almost cried. I don't have a picture but it is etched in my memory forever. I do have the shirt that he wore and every once in a while I smell it and hold it close to me. It takes me back to that day and I can still hear his laughter.

I'm crying as I write this even though, before he died, he told me not to be sad because he has lived a blessed life and none of us are here to stay. So, it won't spend the entire day crying because "my daddy didn't want that".

Without Further Ado

I originally wanted to get these in black. They were sold out and thank goodness because I would have NEVER ordered yellow. When I walked in these I felt like a sexxxy (XXX), statuesque being. I had my first shoegasm!

Close your eyes and allow yourself to finger 4 1/4 inches of titillating goodness. Your toes curl with anticipation. Slip it on....now you had a shoegasm.

Wow, I think I'm going to need another pair!

I've never been a fan of purple until I saw this top, and now I have passion for purple. I especially love the décolletage.

Maternity Wear

I didn't notice until I took a picture but this is a maternity top!! It's a good fit but not a pregnancy fit. You have to remain open to the clothing not the department that it's located.

I had something delivered from Victoria Secret today that I will share on Friday!!

Ritual

Socks: Hand knit

I have a ritual that I follow; almost everyday, when I get home from work....I change clothes, choose a favourite pair of socks, and put them on. On my way home I thought about which socks I would wear. I chose and oldie but a goody. Well, when I got home I couldn't find them anywhere. I cleaned up my bedroom looking for them and still nothing. Okay, "cleaned up" is a slight exaggeration because I mostly moved stuff from one place to another, but now I don't trip when I walked into my closet. Anyway, just when I was about to give up I found them!!!!! I don't wear socks for long but I find comfort in putting them on at the end of the day. What's your end of the day ritual?

Just Another Manic Monday

Monday was an extremely crazy day at work but I survived it! Afterwards I went to my usual Monday haunt with "K". We ate, vented and laughed in that order. On my way out the bartender was so flirting with me. When I got home I made sure that I did my daily exercise cuz it must be working. ;)

Men's Fashion

I found some men's fashion blogs and have included them in the blog list.

I thoroughly enjoyed this post. Terence is the pooh!

A Double

Saturday was an eventful day that began in the red outfit. I woke up early to have my car serviced. It didn’t take long because, as usual, I was the first one there. Afterwards, I ran a few errands and went home to freshen up and change outfits. I planned to meet my mum for lunch and come home to watch tennis.

Shoes: Dots $7

While driving to lunch I heard a "whole lot of shaking going on" under my hood. I took the car back for servicing after lunch. "M" texted me to remind me watch the tennis match. The mechanic's tv didn't have that station!! WTF?!

It was finally my turn. So I drove the mechanic around so he could hear the noise. He commented that I picked the wrong day to wear black because it was so warm. I assured him that a girl has to suffer for fashion. He smiled and said that his fiancée' suffers for her fashion as well. When I walked into the waiting area there was another girl wearing black. I told her what the mechanic said and we laughed. She and I became fast friends and exchanged contact information. So I guess missing the tennis match was worth it!

P.S.- The noise was no biggie. They had to tighten some do-hickey.

Happy belated Friday! I went to bed at 7:30 pm so.....no post. Why does a holiday make the week so long?! Anyway, here is Friday's outfit.

Guess What I Forgot

Guess who forgot to buy batteries today? I'll do a double post tomorrow. It was a pretty busy today at work. I'm looking forward to Friday.

I plan on doing my errands early on Saturday so I can watch the French Open all afternoon. I get tired just watching them play. That should count as excercise, right?!

Check out this giveaway. Good luck! http://style.la-mimi.com/dress-your-body/jenny-yuen-handbag-giveaway/

I'm back and with fresh batteries.

I'm Exhausted

I'm really exhausted today. I think I'll shampoo my hair and shut er' down.

Here is what I wore today sans the shoes. I forgot to include them and my batteries are running out of juice. I will update the pic tomorrow .

Feels Like A Monday

Sorry I didn't post yesterday but my internet was down. I was going to call customer service tonight, but it started working all of a sudden.

Last night I went out for dinner with a girlfriend who was a bit melancholy. I think that I cheered her up. There were no boy "hits" to cheer me up. I did see someone checking me out, but he was way too old to consider. I smiled at him anyway....senior citizens need love too.

Top: Dot's

Shoes: Shoe Carnival ($10.50) Purchased this weekend during their bogo sale
I just noticed that you can't see the heel on my shoe. FYI...they're 3" and don't hurt my feet.

Holiday, Celebrate.....!!!

I did manage to get dressed and get out today! While I was out getting my cuppa I decided to run some errands. I flirted with a somewhat cute boy but he was shy. Let me tell you, I've done shy and it gets old really quickly. I spotted another cute boy. I quickly figured out that he doesn't speak a word of English. That wasn't a huge problem for me. (Boys usually say something stupid and ruin my "hot-for-them" buzz) The problem was that swine flu is still a pandemic so I can't take any chances. Maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow.

Top: Walmart (?)
Jeans: Walmart ($7)
Shoes: Walmart ($)

Just in case you were wondering, this is not the same jeans that I wore yesterday. I purchased 7 pairs at Walmart on clearance for $7 each. I recently purchased a pair for my mom for $6. SCORE! I don't have to tell you how much I love Walmart, ha? The ability to purchase everything from groceries to tires in one location, 24/7, is my definition of nirvana.

Hanging Out With M

I hung out with M and my beautiful nephew today. We reminisced about our dad while my nephew slept. After I left I realised that I didn't hold him. Next time my sweet angel, next time.

I saw a cute "boy" at the grocery store, but he looked like he could be in a work release program so I kept on walking! ;)

Today's outfit is, mostly, brought to you by.....Walmart!

Tomorrow is a holiday so we'll see if I get dressed.
